Fr. Bry Shields serves as the Chaplain of the Men of St. Joseph. He is a priest of the Archdiocese of Mobile, where he has served as President of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School since 1989. In addition to his duties at McGill-Toolen, he is also Pastor of St. Ignatius Church, and Chaplain of the Mobile chapter of Legatus. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University, and a Master’s of Educational Administration from the University of South Alabama. He is a regular columnist for the Press-Register, and is often called on to give talks and conferences. Fr. Shields is a former Episcopal priest, and is married to Dr. Ruth Lyons Shields. They have five grown children.
