October 11, 2026 Reflection

Today in Matthew’s gospel, we hear of the wedding invitation.

It is clear that Christ invites us all to the heavenly eternal banquet, but how do we respond to that invitation?

If I am honest, I tend to procrastinate at times about doing the small things that God asks of me.

Our enemy, the devil, loves procrastination. When we hesitate to respond to God ‘s invitation, the devil wins. He does not have to get us to do the wrong thing just delay doing what Christ wants us to, the right thing.

This gospel reminds me that when Christ says: “many are invited but few are chosen,” He has given me a guide on how to live my life. Whatever I do for the least of his children, I do for Him.

He has paid the price for all of us the very least I can do is prepare my wedding garment.
